Question 2: Where would you like to buy?

It's ideal Why not? No thank you

Preferably in the centre of the village because I want to be near shops and hustle and bustle

Preferably in an isolated spot because I like the tranquillity and feeling that I'm close to nature

Other comments you have on location:

Question 3: What size property are you looking for?

Question 4: What type of home do you prefer?

It's ideal Why not? No thank you
A single storey house
A house with more than on storey

Question 5: How do you envisage the garden and the outside areas?

I tend to agree I don't really agree

Land is expensive; a courtyard of around 40m2 is sufficient - just enough to sunbathe and eat outside

I want a real garden of at least 300 - 400m2 as I like to spend time outside and I like to garden

I want a big garden ie 1000m2 or more

I want a swimming pool and, if the property doesn't have one, I want to be able to build one in the not too distant future

A swimming pool? Why not - but it's an added bonus rather than an essential

I really don't want a swimming pool. It's not what I believe the Ile de Ré is all about and I prefer the children to go to the beach

Question 6: How much do you want to invest?

Other comments you have on the level of investment:

Question 7: In what type of property are you willing to invest?

It's ideal Why not? No thank you

An old property which I'll renovate to my taste

A new construction on a piece of land

A house that needs re decorating but doesn't need any major work done

A house where I just need to unpack my cases and begin to enjoy my time here

Other comments you have on the type of property:

Question 8: What style of house best suits your tastes?

I tend to agree I don't really agree

I like the modern look, like a loft: industrial style fittings, concrete floors, minimal furniture...

I like the style of old properties with lots of stone work, old beams, whitewashed walls. I don't want a new house even if the interior design is stylish.

I like the style of the Ile de Ré: workshop type windows and room dividers, old pine doors, wooden or old tiled floors, beams and stone hearths, but in a new construction - I've had enough of old buildings.

I don't mind a 70s style house - after all it's just for the holidays. I can do it up a bit myself. As long as it's clean and in good working order, the sun and beaches will do the rest.

I haven't got any particular style in mind. I'm open to ideas - I think you need to see what's available to form an idea.
